The quote you receive from us will be the amount you will be invoiced.

Should you require any changes, we will update our quote with any additional charges and send it to you for acceptance.

We guarantee to complete the work to your satisfaction.

Workmanship Guarantee

We guarantee our work for one year.

Parts Guarantee

Clients also benefit from the warranty on parts offered by individual manufacturers.

Warranties do not cover vandalism, accidental or deliberate damage or damage by other contractors.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Brighter Electrical always endeavours to provide the best service. However, on rare occasions a customer may not be completely satisfied.

As soon as possible after completion please inspect our work to ensure everything has been carried out in accordance with the contract terms and to the high standard that we aim to achieve.

Business Complaint Procedure

On receipt, we aim to respond to all complaints within 5 days.

In the unlikely event that we do not resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, then you have options to escalate your complaint.

 

NICEIC Complaint Service

Brighter Electrical is NICEIC registered.  NICEIC offer a complaint service details of which are available online here or you can call NICEIC on 01582 539036.

 

Which? Trusted Traders Ombudsman

The Which? Trusted Trader Dispute Resolution Ombudsman service is available for domestic contracts for installation, service, repair and maintenance. You can refer your complaint to the Ombudsman service on 0117 456 6031, who will advise you if you are eligible to use this service.

 

NICEIC Platinum Promise

Our customers are covered by the NICEIC Platinum Promise. 

The NICEIC Platinum Promise enables eligible customers to get work put right if Brighter Electrical is no longer NICEIC registered or ceases to trade.

The Platinum Promise is valid for up to six years and covers work up to maximum of £25,000 for any one installation. Click here for more information.

 

Domestic Rewiring

Unless otherwise agreed, all cabling will be chased into walls.

MK white standard sockets and switches will be supplied unless you ask for a different product.

We supply white pendant lights unless otherwise agreed, or you supply your own decorative ceiling lights.

Down lights will be white LED dimmable lamps.

Switches and sockets will be recessed using 35mm boxes. They will be installed at a minimum of 450mm from the floor and maximum of 1200mm from the finished floor level to comply with BS7671:2008 Amd3:2015 553.1.6/OSG H6.

Consumer units will be mounted between 1350mm and 1450mm above floor level to be out of reach of children.

Plaster and decoration

Our quotes do not include making good plaster and decoration.  If necessary, you will need to get this done by others.

NICEIC Installation Certificate

When required on completion, we will provide you with a printed NICEIC installation certificate.

Building control will be notified for any notifiable work.

Notice of the right to cancel

By accepting our quotation by email or post, you are agreeing to a contract. This is your approval for the work to begin.

If you wish to cancel the contract you must do so in writing by post or email before we start work or within 14 calendar days of your acceptance.

Once the quotation is agreed we will send you a Notice of the Right to Cancel Form. Only use this form if you wish to cancel the contract.

This complies with The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

 

Before your job is started

For both your and our safety, no addition or alteration, temporary or permanent, shall be made to an existing electrical installation, unless it has been ascertained that the rating and condition of any existing equipment, including that of the distributor, is adequate for the altered circumstances.

Furthermore, the earthing and bonding arrangement, if necessary for the protective measure applied for the safety of the addition or alteration, shall be adequate.
